On recent trip to Scotland I visited a hand dyer’s yarn shop in Glasgow and found this two-skein pack of a solid and a variegated colorway - and thought it would be interesting used in stranded colorwork. The Shetland Star design used in this neck warmer is a traditional Fair Isle stitch pattern, but the combination of colorways I chose is not traditional. I enjoy experimenting with variegated colorways against a solid, lighter-colored background with some stranded colorwork designs.
